He stays? 'No-one inside Real Madrid sees our bench without Ancelotti'

Carlo Ancelotti is now closer to signing a new deal with Real Madrid than leaving for the Brazil job.

The Italian's current contract expires in June and has been in talks with the Brazilian Football Confederation.

But Marca says Real and Ancelotti are now closer than ever to committing to a new deal beyond the end of the season.

Indeed, a source states that "inside Real Madrid today no one thinks about a bench for next season without Ancelotti. And neither does the coach".

Further complicating the Brazilian option is the sudden departure of CBF president Ednaldo Rodrígues, who was Ancelotti's biggest champion inside the federation.
