Luton could be forced to play their first few Premier League games away from their home stadium.
The newly promoted club are going through with renovations on their Kenilworth Road stadium.
The club has to make the changes to comply with Premier League regulations.
Football chief Mick Harford is hopeful that the club can get the world done on time, but admits the situation is up in the air.
He stated: "There is a schedule of about 11-12 weeks of work that has got to be done.
"It might become a bit of a problem, so we will probably have to play maybe two or three games away from home at the start of the Premier League season.
"But Gary's (Sweet) got everything in place, we're in a good place, the work has begun so it's all systems go."
