Esteban Granero is delighted with his new contract at Real Madrid.

Granero is being promoted from the Castilla to Real's first team by new coach Bernd Schuster and the 20 year-old penned a deal through to 2011 on Tuesday.

"I'm very proud and satisfied," said the Spain U20 international midfielder. "Now I have a great responsibility after the confidence they have shown in me. For that reason I have a great desire to begin training and to give back to the club and to Schuster.

"I am anxious. I admire many players of Madrid and now I am going to be by their side. I will fight with them for a position in the team."
