Former Wolves striker Don Goodman admits he is concerned for Sheffield United after they lost top scorer Iliman Ndiaye last week.

On the eve of the Blades' Premier League return, Goodman has questioned where the goals will come from after Ndiaye's move to Olympique Marseille.

United kickoff their campaign at their Bramall Lane home on Saturday against Crystal Palace.

Asked about the impact of losing Ndiaye, on behalf of OLBG Goodman told Tribalfootball.com: "I think even if he stayed, at the moment with the financial situation at the club and the recruitment at the minute, I think they're struggling.

"I hate to say that because I really like Sheffield United as a football club, I like Paul Heckingbottom and Stuart McCall who was a former teammate of mine.

"But purely based on footballing opinions, you look at Sheffield United and you just think it's going to be a massive struggle.

"They just haven't had the money needed to invest in players and losing their best player in Iliman Ndiaye then it's going to have a huge negative impact.

"Probably not just on the squad, I think it'll have an impact on the club as a whole and the supporters.

"I think it'll leave everyone feeling very flat."
