Girona coach Michel was delighted with their record-breaking win at Granada.

Monday night's 4-2 victory marked Girona's fourth consecutive LaLiga win - a record for the club.

Michel later said: "For me it has been the best first half since I have been here. We have been able to be vertical, we have stopped their double playmaker and we have grown with the ball. In the second we were not able to do this but the team worked well in the first 45 minutes.

"Without a doubt, it has all been due to our merit and not due to Granada's demerit.

"Without 2-4 we would have suffered a lot in the final stretch. That's how this league is. You go 0-3 at half-time, you slow down and your opponent hurts you.

"People deserve to be happy and euphoric but we must continue working hard. I always say that the dynamics are confirmed with 10-15 games and everything we add will be welcome. The sensations are above the results and for the start of the league we are very good."
