Giggs still in Dubai but expected to leave Man Utd

Ryan Giggs has not returned early from his holiday in Dubai to address his situation at Manchester United.

Reports earlier in the week suggested that the Welsh legend had cut short his time in the UAE to inform Jose Mourinho that he will not be continuing with the club in 2016/17.

Sky Sports News HQ understands that although Giggs has remained in Dubai, he is still set to tell Mourinho that he will leave Old Trafford this summer.

It is also believed that Giggs, 42, was offered a role to step down from assistant to become a link between the U21 side and the first team but that has also been shit down by Sky reports.

However, the fact that Mourinho will bring his trusted associate Rui Faria to Manchester has essentially put Giggs out of a job and he is now eager to pursue a career in first-team management rather than play a less significant role with the Red Devils.
