Ghanaian FA chiefs have confirmed interest in Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.

Mainoo was born in England, but his parents are from Ghana, so clearing him to play for the Black Stars.

Ghana chief Randy Abbey told The Times: "he Ghana Football Association is interested in monitoring, attracting and persuading all eligible talents to its various national teams.

"Kobbie is certainly one of these incredible talents and the association will love to work with him and many others."

Mainoo has made six appearances for England at U19 level.
