Getafe hope to thrash out terms over a new loan deal for Mason Greenwood.
Convinced the forward wants to stay with them, Getafe will hold talks with parent club Manchester United about a new 12 month deal, says Mundo Deportivo.
While accepting any sale decision by United would rule them out of the running, Getafe president Angel Torres is counting on the will of the player being decisive.
"He is very comfortable in Madrid and is excited about the idea of staying for another year," said Torres a week ago, who has put the ball in United's court.
"It is a matter for them to decide if he has to return there. He has market, but it depends on their price."
