'Get up and get on with it' says Portland Timbers striker Boyd

Portland Timbers striker Kris Boyd has a message for the rest of the players in Major League Soccer: 'Get up and get on with it'.

The Scottish forward was called for a slight foul on Sporting Kansas City defender Aurelien Collin on the weekend with the French defender making a meal of it and rolling around on the ground despite the minimal contact.

After the match, Boyd made his thoughts clear on that sort of behavior, urging opposition players to not stay down if they are not injured.

"It's just football," Boyd said.

"Things like that happen. He went down pretty easy.

"Yeah, I caught him. I'm not saying I never caught him. But I don't think there's any need to be rolling about like that.

"Just get up and get on with it."
