Steven Gerrard is searching for answers from Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers following the sacking of two members of his backroom staff.
Assistant manager Colin Pascoe and first-team coach Mike Marsh were sacked by the club last week which former skipper Gerrard admits was a very unexpected move by the Northern Irishman.
"I was very surprised. I didn't expect there to be any changes in the staff positions," said Gerrard who was unveiled as a new BT Sport pundit on Tuesday.
"I am very interested to hear Brendan speak in a press conference to see why he has decided to make those decisions.
"Brendan and the bosses have made those decisions and I'm looking with a keen interest to see who he puts alongside him and how he tries to improve or strengthen his staff moving forward.
"Will it affect their unity? I think we'll have to wait and see."
