Genoa coach Cesare Prandelli was pleased with their 2-0 win over Juventus.
Stefan Sturaro and Goran Pandev struck the goals.
“This victory will boost everyone, from the players to our fans. Today, they proved their heart and we kept pushing together till the end," Prandelli told DAZN.
“We did well and were also fortunate to face Juventus three days after the Atletico Madrid game, where they used up a lot of energy.
“When I saw Massimiliano Allegri's line-up, I knew they'd have three at the back, so I pushed the midfield up a little bit to trouble them. My team did so well in remaining solid and tight.
“It's not easy when changing system, but the important thing is that the lads realised what they had to do and what to avoid. Football is a collective sport and you need to work together.
“Our fans want to see a team that works hard and fights with heart."
