Genoa coach Alberto Gilardino admits he wants more from Mateo Retegui.
Gilardino says the striker needs to up his goalscoring to be sure of making Italy's Euros squad.
"Mateo is growing, let's not forget that he has been playing continuously since last January. Now he has to resume his journey, in the last two months he has been able to recover," said Gilardino.
"He must help us score goals to reach our goal then we will hand him over to Italy at his best.
"He has physicality, plays well with his back to goal, brings the team up, attacks depth: we expect a lot from him and he knows it."
