Chelsea veteran Thiago Silva should call time on his career at the Stamford Bridge club.
That is the view of former defender William Gallas, who spoke after Chelsea's 4-1 loss to Liverpool.
While Gallas is full of admiration for Silva's qualities, he believes the veteran is past his best.
Speaking with Genting Casino, Gallas said: "I absolutely love Thiago Silva. I have huge respect for everything that he has achieved in his career. I also have huge respect for what he has shown at Chelsea this season.
"Once again, he has been Chelsea's best player, which is remarkable when you consider he is thirty-nine years old. If he wasn't performing at the highest level, then I would say, but I can't criticize Thiago.
"I don't think he has one more season in the Premier League left in him. I don't know if he can give another year, but let me reiterate, Thiago Silva has been absolutely magnificent for Chelsea. I'm sure he will be thinking about his future."
