Galatasaray star Wesley Sneijder has denied quotes attributed to him over a failed move to Manchester United. Sneijder was quoted in the Turkish press claiming he was denied a move to United by Inter Milan.
"Manchester United offered €20 million for me and the club turned it down. I wanted to go to United but Inter did not let me. And then they wanted me to lower my salary. That's why they sent me up in the stands for three months. I have experienced problems with the presidents of both Real Madrid and Inter," he was quoted stating.
But last night, the Dutchman tweeted: "Wait Wait ... There's a newspaper in Turkey who claim to have done an interview with me! NOT TRUE!!"
