Newcastle United defender Danny Simpson wants a move to London.

The Sun says Toon's full-back is out of contract in the summer and has snubbed owner Mike Ashley's last offer of a £25,000 a week deal.

Simpson, 25, is desperate to quit the North-East to be with his new love down in London.

Boss Alan Pardew is keen for the former Manchester United ace to stay.

But Ashley does not want to lose him for nothing and plans to cash in next month.

Simpson, rated at around £2million, was targeted by Fulham in the summer along with QPR and Reading.
