Fry convinced Toney won't be sold by Brentford

Banned striker Ivan Toney will not be leaving Brentford this month for another side.

That is the view of Peterborough chief Barry Fry, who spoke about the 27-year-old forward.

As Toney prepares to play again, after his FA betting ban is lifted in the middle of January, Fry believes he will stay loyal to Brentford until the summer.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Posh's director of football said: "He certainly won't be going in January if you look at where Brentford are in the league and the players they've got out injury-wise.

"They need Ivan to keep them in the league. Also, the clubs who are interested, who are four of the main clubs in the country, with Financial Fair Play they don't have the money at the moment."

He also confirmed that Peterborough do have a ten percent sell-on clause of any fee that Brentford secure for Toney.
