Frosinone coach Di Francesco: I expected warm Roma reception

Frosinone coach Eusebio di Francesco had no complaints after their defeat to Roma.

Frosinone lost 2-0 on Sunday, with Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Pellegrini on the scoresheet for Roma.

Di Francesco said, "We started off really well, trying to put Roma in difficulty and conceding little or nothing before the goal. Then I was forced to change Romagnoli and the goal arrived, we were less good than them who have so many champions.

"We play a lot but we are aware of it, we need to try to create teams with dual roles. We already knew this beforehand and for this reason we need to prepare accordingly."

Asked about the passionate reception he received from the Roma support, Di Francesco added: "I also said yesterday in the press conference that I expected it, I know the Roma fans too well.

"We had to be good at taking advantage of the difficulties. As I said yesterday, however, I was focused on Frosinone, we wanted to try to keep the result in the balance.

"But it's a shame that we weren't able to score. With the substitutions, instead of continuing to dribble well, we were a little too hasty and this helped Roma defend themselves better."
