Tim Fosu-Mensah was thrilled with his Manchester United playing return for victory over former club Crystal Palace last night.

Fosu-Mensah hadn't featured for United since May 2017, but the Dutchman produced a composed performance at left-back, against the club he spent the 2017/18 season with.

“It feels good. I'm happy to play for the club again, but I'm more happy that we got the win today," he told MUTV after the Selhurst Park victory. “It was hard, it was hard. But that's what you work such a long time for, all these months, for moments like this.

“This is football and anything can happen so you have to be ready, especially at a club like this. You have to be ready and I was ready for this moment."

“It was quite special (being back at Selhurst). Every time I step on this pitch it's a special feeling because I had a nice season here, with some great people so it's special."
