Forest reluctant to sell DC United loanee O'Brien

Nottingham Forest are said to be reluctant to sanction a move for Lewis O'Brien away from the club.

O'Brien, who is on loan at DC United in the MLS in the United States, will head back to Forest on July 16th.

However, DC United boss Wayne Rooney wants to hold onto O'Brien for another season.

"We're still in conversations. It's a difficult situation because it's not in our hands," Rooney said.

"We're trying everything we can to try to keep him."

Per The Sun, Sheffield United are also ready to make an offer for O'Brien this summer.

For their part, Forest are uncertain about letting him leave, especially as the Blades are a potential relegation rival next season.
