Forest boss Cooper reveals Henderson absence; transfer plans

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper says Dean Henderson faces a month out injured.

Goalkeeper Henderson is set to be sidelined for four to five weeks after picking up a muscle injury. Henderson, who is on loan from Manchester United, picked up the injury during the 2-0 victory over Leicester City at the City Ground.

Cooper said, "He's injured. He's going to be out for four to five weeks, which is obviously a bit of a blow for all of us but him especially. These things happen and we will carry on with our work and support Dean as best we can to get back fit as quick as possible.

"We have two League Cup games that Dean wouldn't have played in anyway so we were always planning without him for then anyway. I think we need to get this weekend out of the way and then see where we are at.

"Ryan Yates will be available. He came off at half-time with a knock to his face but he will be available. Apart from that we will be as we were."

Asked about more signings, Cooper also said today: "I can't put an exact number on. We are definitely trying to do some things and need to do some things as well.

"If some of it comes off great, if not then we work with the players that are in the building every day to try and get the best out of them and for them to get the best out of themselves.

"Every game in this Premier League is so tough in different ways and Saturday will be no different. I've been really pleased with the atmosphere in the training ground this week, it's been even more vibrant than normal. I've never had any complaints about that.

"We are really enjoying our work but we are enjoying it in a focused way and want to get back playing games. It's been nice to get some work done on the grass and get back into the development work and hopefully that will assist us going forward."
