Forest boss Cooper admits Henderson replacement may not be needed

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper admits they may not need to sign a replacement for injured goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

There were concerns the on-loan Manchester United keeper would be missing for two months.

But Cooper said today: "Still something we are thinking about. We thought Dean's injury might initially have been a lot longer than what it is going to be. He couldn't have played in the semi-finals anyway.

"Unfortunately we were knocked out of the FA Cup so Premier League football there is a bit of a break. We're weighing all that up and seeing if it's right to go with what we've got. Wayne played at Bournemouth and we will see if we want to keep with that or if we make a change but we haven't decided yet.

"Dean hasn't had loads of injuries in his career and he's still a fairly young lad, so we have to see how players recover from injuries. Some can recover a lot quicker than others. If he does great, if he doesn't we will deal with it as it comes."
