Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insists there's no grudge with Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo snubbed last night's FIFA gala as former Real teammate Luka Modric was awarded The Best title ahead of the Portuguese.

Florentino said, "With Cristiano, I would have given him a hug.

"We are proud to have counted on Cristiano, he is the worthy successor of (Alfredo) Di Stéfano, he is a player who is in the hearts of the Real Madrid players."

Ronaldo was among the nominees, but still swerved the night.
