Former Middlesbrough striker Jan-Aage Fjortoft says there's mixed messages coming from Borussia Dortmund over Jadon Sancho's next club.

The Bundesliga pundit has claimed Sancho will move to Liverpool.

But he's now told the Kopite Podcast: "The funny thing is about speculation and I have tried to describe this in a tweet.

"When I was in Dortmund, I spoke to two people who are very into there, they've been there for ages in Dortmund.

"One said: 'Just as you know Jan, Sancho is going to Liverpool. It's 100 percent.'

"I talked to the people at Dortmund and he will go to Liverpool because of this and that, Klopp and (Hans-Joachim) Watzke, they're good friends and so on and so on.

"So I speak to his colleague to get confirmed as I can't do it and he said: 'Now, he's going to Manchester United, 100 percent.'"
