Fiorentina coach Italiano delighted with Vlahovic for hat-trick against Spezia

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano praised Dusan Vlahovic after his hat-trick in victory over Spezia.

The Viola won 3-0 against Italiano's former club.

“We reacted to Wednesday's defeat," he told DAZN. “We wanted to restart. The lads were good and had the right approach, it was a well-deserved win and I'm happy that we were decisive in our finishing, as well as Vlahovic's three goals. We had so many opportunities.

“I'm happy with what I saw today. The two assists came from the substitutes, Dusan was scoring again. We managed the game well and I'm happy.

“This is the reaction a team must have to bounce back from a defeat, we still have to try to improve."

He added: "Right now we continue to have ups and downs, it's early to talk about targets.

“We have to try to grow and improve, now we are in a good position.

“The target of any team is to improve, then we'll see. It's still early to talk about Europe. However, this is the attitude that gives me hope, so we can achieve something important."
