Nottingham Forest have been forced to send Ben Hamer back to Leicester City following their breach of the Financial Fair Play regulations.
The Championship club had signed 27-year-old Hamer on a season-long loan deal last month but the goalkeeper's spell at the City Ground side has already been cut short due to FFP issues.
Forest reported losses of around £8million for the 2013/14 financial year and as a result, the club have been forced to send back Hamer to Leicester.
Nonetheless, manager Dougie Freedman has revealed that he is hopeful of re-signing Hamer before the end of the weekend by ironing out a "technical issue".
