French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet insists Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema's recall has his full support.

There have accusations leveled at Le Graet that he has been a driving force behind Benzema's exile.

But he says: "I had wanted him to return to the France team for a long time.

"When you see what he was doing at Real, it was impossible not to take him. Real Madrid are still the best team in the world or one of the best teams in the world.

"He was revealed more after the departure of (Cristiano) Ronaldo by taking in hand his responsibilities in this team. He changed. I found him very mature, very courteous. There is no hard feelings at all about what happened.

"Between (Didier) Deschamps and him? It's very good. He will play tonight (against Germay)."
