Manchester United are getting closer to agreeing a contract extension with Bruno Fernandes.
United and Fernandes' representative Miguel Pinho have been locked in talks for weeks.
Portuguese outlet O Jogo says a breakthrough has been made.
The new deal will run until 2027, with his current contract expiring in 2025.
Fernandes will now also earn the same as Paul Pogba with an annual salary of £12.5m.
Pogba is expected to leave Old Trafford as a free agent this summer, offsetting the cost of Fernandes' new deal.
The Red Devils view Fernandes as a 'key player' and are delighted over his new contract, per Fabrizio Romano.
