Birmingham City midfielder Barry Ferguson admits he is enjoying life at the club ahead of tonight's clash with his former team Blackburn.
The 31-year old joined the Blues in July this year and says he instantly felt a part of the club after two stints with Scottish club Rangers with a few seasons at Blackburn thrown in the middle.
"The first time I came to Birmingham I felt I had been here for a long time," Ferguson said.
"It is a great dressing room and a great bunch of boys and coaching staff. You see that on the park because everyone gets on with each other.
"And I am enjoying myself a lot at Birmingham now."
Ferguson said the chance to again work with Birmingham boss Alex McLeish was a major reason for him landing at St Andrews and just hopes the clubs recent good fortune continues.
"I have worked under him a couple of times for Scotland and Rangers and I enjoy playing under him," he added.
"He gave me a chance to come back down and play.
"We are not getting too carried away, but we are on a good run. I think it is all down to hard work.
"You see the way the team works - everyone fights hard for each other.
"Nobody is getting carried away, though. The the gaffer and all the experienced boys in the dressing room make sure of that."
