Rio Ferdinand has told former England teammate Frank Lampard that Chelsea needs him to become their next manager.
Derby boss Lampard is expected to replace Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
And former Manchester United defender Ferdinand has advised his friend to take the job.
"They should do it! I think he will get it," Ferdinand said on former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba's Instagram story.
"Is he talking? I think he's talking and I think he's going to get it. If he's talking, he's getting the job because he can talk.
"Frank, take the job man. Take it, Chelsea need you.
"He's my friend. He should get the job, he deserves it."
