Fenerbahce failed with a deadline day attempt for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay last week.

Takvim says Fener tried to strike terms with United for McTominay on Friday before the Turkish deadline fell.

But the two clubs couldn't reach an agreement over the Scotland midfielder.

McTominay also drew interest from West Ham United and Newcastle over the summer market.

He started in yesterday's defeat to Brighton.
