Nikica Jelavic attributes the brilliant early-season form of Rangers to the fact the playing group is such a tight-knit unit, particularly the back four
The Glasgow giants have won the past three Scottish titles and are on their way to a fourth with a nine-point lead at the top of the table after just 12 games played.
The reason for this is the standout Rangers' defence which has conceded just four goals and Jelavic has acknowledged that this kind of unity helps make life so much easier on match-day, especially at away games.
"Hearts is always a hard place to go and take three points but we showed team spirit and character. Now we need to look forward to going up to Aberdeen," he said.
"It's always nice to win games, especially when you're not conceding any goals.
"The whole team showed that we are like a family. We stick together, especially in central defence with both Carlos (Bocanegra) and Dorin (Goain).
"They are both fantastic players for us and Gregsy (Allan McGregor) has saved us many times as well."
