Radamel Falcao has paid tribute to Rayo Vallecano's fans.

The Colombia star is in his second season with Rayo and was voted their Player of the Month for September.

Falcao said: "I am happy and very grateful to the fans. I think they have always supported us and the team has felt that support on the field.

"It has helped us a lot with the results of this start of the season.

"It is always important to start with good results, I think we are having them and we have to continue. We have a cycle of games before the next break that are complicated, but we need to continue adding and above all feel the support of the fans as they always have shown."
