The FA are chasing down Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
They are insisting Klopp is banned for his explosive touchline rant against Manchester City - despite the Liverpool boss having escaped a suspension.
Klopp was fined £30,000 by an independent regulatory committee last month after admitting an improper conduct charge. The German was shown a red card by ref Anthony Taylor in the latter stages of the 1-0 win for clashing with assistant Gary Beswick.
The FA has now launched an official appeal, formally requesting a new hearing with a separate panel.
In a statement, Wembley bosses said: “The FA can confirm that it is appealing against the independent Regulatory Commission's sanction in relation to the recent case involving Jurgen Klopp after reviewing its written reasons."
