FA CUP WRAP - 3rd ROUND: Fulham account for Norwich, Wednesday hammer Macclesfield

Some 2013/14 FA Cup third round replays took place around England on Tuesday night with nine clubs progressing to the next stage of the prestigious competition.

An all-Premier League battle between Fulham and Norwich City saw the Cottagers brush aside their mediocre league form to win 3-0 at the Craven Cottage.

An early goal from Aston Villa loanee Darren Bent was backed up by second-half efforts from Ashkan Dejagah and Steve Sidwell as the southwest Londoners moved into the fourth round where they will take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on January 26.

Championship side Sheffield Wednesday easily accounted for Conference outfit Macclesfield Town 4-1 at Hillsborough to set up a meeting with Rochdale in a fortnight.

Watford accounted for Bristol City 2-0 to land the winner of Wednesday's replay between Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers while Conference National side Kidderminster Harriers upset League One Peterborough United 3-2 to set up a lucrative meeting with top flight Sunderland.

Joe Garner scored a memorable hat-trick for Preston North End to edge Ipswich Town 3-2 to move into a fourth round meeting with Nottingham Forrest as Port Vale saw off Plymouth Argyle 3-2 to land a home fixture with Brighton & Hove Albion.

In the match of the night, Wigan Athletic scored twice in extra-time to beat MK Dons 3-1 thanks to a brace from Manchester United loanee Nick Powell, setting up a clash with Premier League Crystal Palace.

And in non-replay fixtures, Chris Burke scored twice as Birmingham City beat Bristol Rovers 3-0 to set up a clash with Swansea City, Brett Pitman netted a brace which assisted AFC Bournemouth in scoring a 4-1 triumph over Burton Albion allowing them to meet Liverpool in the next round and Charlton Athletic drew 2-2 with Oxford United in their reschedule tie to set up a replay.
