Former Tottenham and Inter Milan defender Paolo Tramezzani is convinced by the young talent emerging for Albania's national team.

Tramezzani, who was assistant coach to Gianni de Biasi for Albania's Euro 2016 campaign, has watched closely as the likes of Chelsea striker Armando Broja, Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani and AS Roma defender Marash Kumbulla have all made a positive impact at their respective clubs.

Tramezzani, speaking with Tribalfootball.com, is confident all three players - and more - can make their mark in Europe, “These names confirm what I've long said. They play in important teams, they are young players and I think in the future these players and this national team can become better and better."

Albania have just undergone a change of coach, with Sylvinho, the former Arsenal and Barcelona star, succeeding Edy Reja. Tramezzani says: “I don't want to enter in details regarding this choice, but I have a lot of trust in Armand Duka, the president of the Albanian FA, and I am sure that he has made the right choice as always.

"For me, Reja did a great job, he added a stability to that team and played some beautiful matches. I have a lot of respect for him also due to the fact that he has been my coach when I was a player.

"For me he has done the maximum he could have done with that team."

Tramezzani, who has been in charge of the likes of Hajduk Split, Sion and APOEL, says getting a future call from Duka about taking charge of the national team would be a dream come true.

The Italian admits he wasn't contacted during the previous round of interviews, but insists the door is open to returning to the Albanian national team in the future.

He added: “I will be honest and say that I didn't received any offer, but I wish in the future to have such a chance.

"To coach that team is my dream."
