EXCLUSIVE: Juventus were wise to invest in former Man Utd young gun Pogba - Trezeguet

David Trezeguet is of the belief that Juventus were extremely clever in their pursuit of Paul Pogba.

The Italian giants managed to sign the immensely talented midfielder from Manchester United in 2012 and the 23-year-old has gone on to become one of the prime movers in his position in world football.

Much has been written and said of United's decision to allow Pogba to leave four years ago and although Juve legend Trezeguet was unsure why the Red Devils made that now obvious blunder, he was full of praise for the Bianconeri's vision to bring in such a player who clearly had an enormous amount of ability from the get-go.

Trezeguet told Tribalfootball.com: "Regarding his Man United decision, I cannot really comment on that, but Juventus were really wise when they had the opportunity to invest in this young player because it was spotted from the very beginning that he has huge potential."

Former Juve striker Trezeguet was in Melbourne speaking as his club's ambassador at the launch of the 2016 International Champions Cup Australia, presented by Audi which takes place at the MCG between the Serie A champions, Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, Premier League title-chasers Tottenham Hotspur and current A-League title holders Melbourne Victory in late July.
