Ex-Valencia star Mata open to Spain return

Former Valencia star Juan Mata admits a return to Spain could be an option.

The veteran midfielder is training in London after leaving Vissel Kobe.

Asked about Santi Cazorla signing with Real Oviedo, Mata told AS: “If you stop to think, everything is beautiful.

"It's nice to play in Japan and be able to win the league, or play for Oviedo, like Santi (Cazorla) has done now after spending so much time in Qatar, and be able to help the team rise, which is where it deserves to be.

"Well, it's also beautiful and romantic, of course I see it that way too. I'm not ruling anything out, but I haven't made a decision yet.

“I am valuing everything a little."

Asked about playing again in England, Mata added: “Hmm... I don't know, to be honest, but I don't think there's anything that would interest me. My agent knows what I want, and if he hasn't told me anything about England in that regard, there are probably options but they don't interest me."
