Former Roma coach Claudio Ranieri is interested in the Newcastle United job.

Sky Sports says Ranieri has expressed interest in taking over at Newcastle, who parted with Rafa Benitez on Monday.

Ranieri won the Premier League title with Leicester City in 2016 and ended last season strongly with Roma.

However, his previous spell in England saw him recently contribute to Fulham's relegation from the top tier.

Along with Ranieri, Jose Mourinho is also being linked with the Toon job.
