Former Real Madrid medical chief Jesus Olmo has recalled a bust-up with captain Sergio Ramos.

Olmo held the role between 2013 and 2017, during which time Los Blancos won the LaLiga Santander and Champions League double under Zinedine Zidane before he left that summer.

But it wasn't always smooth sailing, and things came to a head between Olmo and Ramos.

"Sergio is special, we had a very big confrontation," Olmo remembered while speaking to Ideal de Granada.

"He's a person who, like me, says things to your face.

"He did things that I didn't consider appropriate and I explained that to him.

"We each defended our position with the utmost respect, we had our differences but from there the relationship was very good."
