Ex-Middlesbrough midfielder Robson to remain patient after so-so Vancouver Whitecaps debut

Barry Robson was not at his best on Wednesday night as he made his debut for new club Vancouver Whitecaps.

The 33-year old Scottish midfielder started against the Colorado Rapids which was his first appearance in MLS and it ended in his side winning 1-0 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Robson lasted just under an hour before being replaced by Sebastien Le Toux and feels that it may take some time to show his Middlesbrough Player of the Season form for the Whitecaps.

"It's like me playing my first preseason game to be honest," said Robson.

"But you don't get the chance to break yourself in. I'm just delighted we got the three points."
