Former Manchester United winger Bojan Djordjic has slammed the decision to take on Shanghai Shenhua striker Odion Ighalo.

Ighalo has joined United on-loan to the end of the season.

"They have an expression in England, 'Mickey Mouse'. And they have really become a 'Mickey Mouse' club when it comes to recruiting. Recruiting has been completely wrong," Djordjic told Viasat.

"He (Ighalo) wasn't even on the podium to come to United and then it really becomes a desperate recruit just to get someone in.
