Former Manchester United winger Ben Thornley has offered advice to Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong.

The two academy players are creating publicity for themselves this week.

Thornley told the Manchester Evening News: "Keep your feet on the ground.

"Always listen to the people around you. Listen to your coaches.

"You can never go wrong with listening to people like Nicky Butt.

"Mason Greenwood, Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong and other player besides, listen to Nicky Butt because he's been there, he's done it, he knows what it takes to achieve that sort of status and it's by listening and through hard work with the skill thrown in.

"But it's up to you which piece of advice you take on board and you work with the most."
