Former France and Manchester United striker Louis Saha has launched Axis 10 Sports Consulting Group, along with former 1.FC Köln defender Dieter Prestin, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The firm will provide players with access to services including insurance, international legal and tax advice, post-career income planning, and investment solutions.
According to an official press release, Axis 10 will allow soccer players to 'protect themselves against financial losses during their sports careers and to better prepare for their ongoing financial prosperity thereafter'.
The release also states that the start-up will collaborate with a number of other former professionals, and will only work with 'international and specialised companies', such as Lloyd's Insurances London, ING Luxembourg, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The release also states the agency will help clubs and agents cope with the 'increasing complexity' of international sports business, which threatens 'reputational, legal and financial risk'.
