Former Manchester United scout Javier Ribalta has weighed into Paul Pogba's prospects of moving to Real Madrid.

Ribalta, now sports director of Zenit St Petersburg, was also at Juventus when Pogba was with the Bianconeri.

He told Radio Marca: "I'm sure it's not easy for Real Madrid to sign Paul Pogba, he's a very important player for Manchester United at the marketing level, but I cannot see Paul without the Champions League.

"The market has changed a lot and it has gone up for everyone, obviously for those who buy first level players it has gone up more."

On Gareth Bale's future, Ribalta added: "I think it will not be difficult for Real Madrid to sell Bale."
