Former Manchester United midfielder James Weir has retired at the age of 28.
The ex-pro appeared for the Red Devils as a youngster when Louis van Gaal was in charge.
Weir was first a part of the United academy in 2008, coming on for Ander Herrara in a Premier League win over Arsenal in 2016.
He was joined on the field by fellow academy star Marcus Rashford at the time, with Rashford scoring twice in the game.
While the latter went on to become a United star, Weir joined Hull and eventually played for other lower league clubs.
He played for Wigan, Bolton, FK Pohronie in Slovakia, and MTK Budapest in Hungary.
He then went on to FC Vion Zlate Moravce in Slovakia before his retirement announcement.
