Former Manchester United chief David Gill has admitted he has one big regret from his time at the club.
Gill left United at the same time that Sir Alex Ferguson retired from his job as manager in 2013.
Gill, who was United's CEO for many years during their most glittering of runs, spoke about how boss Ferguson and ex-captain Roy Keane's relationship fell apart.
Reflecting on the way Keane eventually left United, Gill recalled: “I've said this to Sir Alex [Ferguson].
“One of my only regrets is that they were so great for each other, and to see them fallout - I think it's a pity.
“I obviously feel that. He was a fantastic captain, and for that [Ferguson/Keane relationship] to break down, was very difficult."
