Everton are being linked with a shock appointment of former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norway coach has not worked since leaving United in November 2021.
Per Fabrizio Romano, Solskjaer has held talks with Everton about their vacant managerial position.
The Toffees were impressed with how Solskjaer handled the United job for the first two years of his reign.
Solskjaer would want to sign United club captain Harry Maguire and his midfielder Scott McTominay if he took charge of Everton.
The Toffees are in serious danger of relegation at present, having fired coach Frank Lampard this week.
