Former Liverpool captain Gary McAllister is confident the club won't drop off after last season's second-place finish.
"This season has been spectacular at times, though there have been a few results that, with hindsight, have cost us," McAllister, who has been linked with a coaching return to Anfield, told liverpoolfc.tv. "But if you look at the big picture, it's not been a bad season, has it?
"That movement closer to Manchester United, and being in it with just a few weeks to go, has been great to see.
"I think the consensus is that if Rafa makes the right signings this summer - and I am confident he will - then they can go even closer and maybe go all the way.
"The attacking flair we've shown this season has been fantastic."
