Former Leeds United and West Ham defender Hayden Foxe is training with North Queensland Fury. Foxe was released at the end of last season by Perth Glory after struggling with injury.
Now 32, the Australia international could be planning a comeback.
However, a Fury spokesman said the 32-year-old was not in line for a contract, with only six matches left before the finals.
''He's mates with a couple of boys in the team and asked 'Fergie' (coach Ian Ferguson) if he could train with us,'' the spokesman said.
