Former Lazio coach Sven Goran Eriksson isn't surprised seeing Diego Simeone and Simone Inzaghi succeeding in management.

Atletico Madrid coach Simeone and Inter Milan's Inzaghi played for Eriksson at Lazio and will meet in the Champions League round of 16.

Eriksson told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "I'm not predicting the future, but it will be a particularly balanced match: the teams are equal and both came close to winning the Champions League.

"Diego was a ready-made coach: it's not true that he is a defensive player, he has tenacity and organization. Simone was determined and decisive, but also sensitive and curious: he studied everything, he knew everything about his opponents.

"Maybe he didn't seem predestined, but he came out great.

"Only one between Diego and Simone will move forward, but I hope that in their careers they can both experience the joy of winning the most important cup in Europe."
